On Thursday 22 October, artists and arts organisations across Australia will come together for AusArt Day – a national initiative from Creative Australia to show our collective appreciation for those who bring creativity into our lives.
“Find a project you love. Back a project you love. Make Art Happen this AusArt Day” is this year’s call to action, and we’d like to highlight projects from four of our partner organisations participating in AusArt Day 2026.
We’d love you to donate directly for one of these projects, or you can choose to donate the value of your Culture Voucher – Silver or Gold.
Melbourne Chamber Orchestra: Sounding the Horn: A Concerto for MCO

Help MCO bring a bold new horn concerto to life by Andrew Ford OAM, written for soloist Carla Blackwood.
The world premiere of the piece will be performed as part of the Resonance program in Melbourne in October and November 2027. Inspired by the vibrant creative environment of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, this program celebrates the exchange of ideas across generations with Ford’s concerto sitting alongside music by Marianna Martines and Mozart, tracing threads of influence, innovation and artistic kinship in a program rich in colour, brilliance and fresh perspectives.
Sydney Film Festival: SFF Admit All

SFF Admit All is an initiative designed to remove barriers and welcome more diverse audiences to engage with the Festival. SFF Admit All is an extension of Film For All, an initiative that welcomed 489 people to the Festival in 2026, an increase of 70% from its pilot year in 2025.
Thanks to donor support, Film For All reached more people in 2026 through partnering with a broader range of community organisations, including Weave, ACE Western Sydney, Bankstown Poetry Slam, ATYP, GO Foundation Made in the West, Pasifika Film Festival and Lesbian Film Club.
Ensemble Offspring: Hatched Academy: Composer & Performer Intensive

Support the next phase of Ensemble Offspring’s acclaimed Hatched Academy as it expands into a dynamic Composer & Performer Intensive.
EO’s Hatched Academy is where Australia’s most exciting emerging performers and composers take flight. For more than a decade, Hatched has nurtured a generation of trailblazing new-music leaders – bold voices shaping the sound of Australia’s musical future.
Australian Chamber Orchestra

ATYP is fundraising to support an ensemble of 50 young performers, who will take to the stage for the premiere of an award-winning First Nations play. Funds will support costuming and rehearsal costs for the ensemble, championing the voices of the next generation in an urgent new play about climate resilience.
This ambitious new play will be brought to life on Gadigal land in Walsh Bay by a predominantly young, First Nations-led creative team. The scale of the work emphasises the autonomy and power of its young performers, foregrounding the next generation as active custodians rather than passive inheritors of crisis.
