Australian Theatre for Young People
ATYP has just wrapped its latest production SCAB, which might have been the first time for audiences to see a future star on stage. It’s well-known of course that ATYP was the training ground for Rebel Wilson, who repaid that experience with a $1 million donation to the company back in 2021. Rebel’s back in the news this week with the release of her memoir Rebel Rising.
Apart from its productions, the major component of ATYP’s mission is to provide opportunities for young people to develop their own skills in theatre and film, and to work together to create their own content, express their own views and perform it for an audience. You can find out more about ATYP’s ongoing workshop programs at https://atyp.com.au/workshops. Our gold and silver culture vouchers can be redeemed for ATYP workshops at any time.
